NAMI-0137 was a front-wheel-drive car built between 1967 and 1970, using a transversely mounted engine and a ZAZ-966 body with altered trim. Its engine was experimental, air-cooled, but based on a production unit.
The car was a two-door sedan with a front-mounted engine driving the front wheels, reaching a top speed of 125 km/h. It used a modernized MeMZ-966 V-configuration gasoline engine of 996 cc with 8 overhead valves across 4 cylinders, producing 36 hp (26.4 kW) at 4,200 rpm, paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. Suspension was independent and spring-based front and rear; brakes were hydraulic, with discs at the front and drums at the rear, though some accounts describe drums on all four wheels. Electrics ran on 12 volts, with 6.15-13 tires.
