Gilburt Motor Car Co. Ltd was established in October 1904 in West Kilburn, London. The company focused on the production of automobiles during the early 20th century. Its first vehicle was announced in February 1905, which was a light 2-seater car.

The Gilburt vehicle was notable for its use of a flip 2-cylinder Fafnir engine, which was mounted transversely. The car featured a chain drive system that connected the engine to the gearbox and subsequently to the rear axle. A distinctive aspect of its design was the placement of the differential, which was located in the offside hub. In addition to the 2-seater model, a 3-seater body option was also offered to consumers.

The company operated for a brief period, ceasing production in 1906, and remains a lesser-known entity in the history of early automotive manufacturing in the United Kingdom.
