Pagani Automobili S.p.A. is an Italian hypercar manufacturer founded in 1992 by Argentine-Italian engineer Horacio Pagani. Headquartered in San Cesario sul Panaro, near Modena, the brand is synonymous with obsessive attention to detail, extreme performance, and artistic craftsmanship. Pagani’s origins are deeply rooted in the founder’s early work with Lamborghini, where he contributed to projects like the Diablo and pushed for the use of advanced composites. This passion for materials science continues to define Pagani’s philosophy, with each vehicle constructed from proprietary carbon fiber and carbon-titanium blends, emphasizing both strength and visual beauty.

The company’s first model, the Zonda, debuted in 1999 and quickly established Pagani as a serious player in the world of exotic performance cars. Over the years, it evolved through numerous special editions, culminating in the track-focused Zonda Revolución. In 2011, Pagani introduced the Huayra, named after the Andean god of wind, which pioneered active aerodynamics and featured a bespoke twin-turbo V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG. Like the Zonda, the Huayra was offered in various forms including the BC, Roadster, and track-only Huayra R, each more extreme and exclusive than the last.

Today, Pagani’s lineup includes the Utopia, the brand’s third-generation hypercar. It reflects a design philosophy rooted in analog purity, offering a choice of manual or automated manual transmissions paired with an 864-horsepower twin-turbo V12 engine. Alongside the Utopia and its open-top Roadster variant, the brand also offers the Huayra R Evo, a 900-horsepower naturally aspirated track-only machine that represents the pinnacle of Pagani’s engineering and its Arte in Pista track program.

Beyond performance, what distinguishes Pagani is its fusion of art and science. Every component, even those hidden from view, is treated as a sculptural object. Interiors feature exposed gear linkages, bespoke leatherwork, and aerospace-grade materials, all tailored to each individual client. With production numbers typically capped at under 100 units per model, Pagani remains one of the most exclusive and artisanal car manufacturers in the world.
