The Ziliani IZ1 project embodies a fusion of classic aesthetics from the 1960s-70s racing cars with modern performance and safety features, culminating in a unique automotive masterpiece. Conceived in 2022, the vision behind the project was to integrate a 7-liter aspirated engine boasting 500 horsepower, along with advanced safety systems such as ABS and traction control, airbags, air conditioning, and contemporary comfort amenities.

Built upon the foundation of a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06, the Ziliani IZ1 retains the original mechanical components intact, including the engine, gearbox, differential, braking system, and suspension. However, the original fiberglass body panels of the Corvette have been meticulously replaced with a new carbon fiber body, crafted with a combination of Kevlar and carbon to ensure both lightweight construction and structural integrity.

During the refurbishment process, the vehicle underwent comprehensive mechanical overhauls, including the replacement of springs, shock absorbers, clutch discs, and differential gearbox oils. The engine, a 7.0-liter V8 with 505 horsepower, received extensive refurbishment, including the replacement of essential components like pistons, connecting rods, and valves, maintaining its original specifications without aftermarket modifications.

Electronically, the Ziliani IZ1 remains faithful to its origins, retaining all original electronic control units, wiring, and internal instruments. Equipped with the original "OBD" diagnostic socket, the vehicle provides access to comprehensive data and diagnostics.

Furthermore, the interior of the Ziliani IZ1 has been meticulously crafted with carbon fiber, replacing original plastic or leather components with lightweight and durable materials.
