Fabbrica Autoveicoli Rimorchi Torino, commonly known as E.A.R.T., was an Italian manufacturer established in 1965 in Turin. The company specialized in producing small cross-country vehicles, notably the E.A.R.T. Breack, which was characterized by its simple and open forward control bodywork.
The E.A.R.T. Breack was powered by a rear-mounted engine sourced from the Fiat 500 Giardiniera, providing adequate performance for its intended use. The vehicle was designed to accommodate four passengers and featured a unique configuration that included two sets of wheels per axle. This design allowed for enhanced traction and stability on rough terrain.
The Breack was equipped with an additional gear reduction, enabling it to tackle steep gradients of up to 40 percent. It achieved a top speed of 40 mph (64 km/h), making it suitable for various off-road applications. Despite its limited production and the unfortunate name, E.A.R.T. contributed to the niche market of compact utility vehicles during its brief existence.
