Ciemme was an Italian automotive brand that operated during the late 1980s. The company was based in Bologna and was known for developing unique models that were influenced by existing designs, particularly from the Romanian automotive manufacturer ARO.
One of Ciemme's notable creations was the IV Grizzly, which was derived from the ARO 240. This model featured an elongated and taller body, an American-style grille, and was powered by a VM 2.4-litre turbocharged engine that produced 100 horsepower. The design aimed to combine rugged off-road capabilities with a more stylish appearance.
Following the IV Grizzly, Ciemme introduced the Scorpion, a sporty pickup truck characterized by its gull-wing doors. The Scorpion offered a choice of engines, including a Renault 1.4-litre petrol engine and a Volkswagen 1.6-litre diesel or turbo-diesel engine. These models reflected Ciemme's approach to blending functionality with distinctive design elements during its brief existence in the automotive market.
