Bianchi was an Italian automobile manufacturer founded by Edoardo Bianchi in 1899 in Milan. Initially, the company focused on the production of bicycles before expanding into the automotive sector. The first automobiles were produced under the name "Fabbrica Automobili e Velocipede Edoardo Bianchi" from 1905 until 1939. During this period, Bianchi developed a range of vehicles, contributing to the early automotive landscape in Italy.

After a hiatus, the brand was revived in 1957 as Autobianchi Spa, which operated until 1968. This phase marked a new chapter for Bianchi, as it aimed to produce small cars that catered to the growing demand for affordable and practical vehicles. In 1968, the company became part of Fiat Spa, specifically under the Sezione Autobianchi division, where it continued to manufacture cars until 1987.

Throughout its history, Bianchi was known for its innovative designs and engineering, although it eventually ceased operations as an independent brand. The legacy of Bianchi remains significant in the context of early Italian automotive history.
