Bulant Moton Pty Ltd was an Australian automotive manufacturer established in Annangrove, New South Wales, in 1971. The company was situated near the Amaroo Raceway, which influenced its focus on building clubman and competition cars. The most notable model produced by Bulant was the Bulanti, a mid-engine coupe that utilized components from the Mini.
The Bulanti was designed with a fiberglass body and was built on a fabricated steel frame that accommodated Mini subframes. Despite sharing similar dimensions with the Mini, the Bulanti featured a distinct construction approach. It stood at a low height of 40 inches (1016 mm) and had a weight of 1177 pounds (535 kg). The name "Bulant" was derived from the bull-ant, known for its sting, reflecting the brand's spirited design philosophy.
However, the complexity and cost of production exceeded initial expectations, leading to the cessation of the project after only three units were manufactured. The Bulant remains a unique example of Australian automotive engineering from the early 1970s.
