Gecko was a British kit car brand that operated from 1984 to 1992. The company initially began its production under Autobarn Fabrications, based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, before transitioning to Simmons Design in Lichfield, Staffordshire, in 1990.

The Gecko was designed as a modern interpretation of the classic Mini Moke, utilizing Mini subframes and mechanical components. The construction of the vehicle involved a combination of materials, including fiberglass, plywood, and aluminum, which contributed to its lightweight design. The brand offered various wheelbase options, ranging from 50 inches (1269 mm) to 100 inches (2538 mm), and even produced a six-wheeled variant.

Throughout its production run, Gecko aimed to provide an engaging driving experience, appealing to enthusiasts of kit cars. However, the brand eventually ceased operations in 1992, marking the end of its contribution to the kit car market.
