Country: United States

Amore Cars was an American automobile manufacturer based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, operational from 1978 to 1990. The company is best known for its production of the Cimbria, a kit car that gained recognition for its clean and striking design, distinguishing it from many other kit cars of the era that often featured excessive ornamentation. Initially designed to fit the Volkswagen floorpan, the Cimbria later evolved to utilize a tube frame that allowed for the installation of V6 and V8 transverse engines, along with four-wheel disc brakes.

The Cimbria achieved notable sales success, leading to the introduction of the Viper 2000 in 1984. This deluxe version of the Cimbria was sold exclusively in fully assembled form and was equipped with a Porsche 930 Turbo engine, priced at $62,000 in 1985. Other engine options were available at lower price points, catering to a broader market. In 1990, the Cimbria project was acquired by NEREIAYachts, and production continued into 1999.
