Auto Acedo was a Spanish automotive brand established in 1941, based in Madrid. The company was founded during a challenging period marked by World War II, which influenced its mission to create a vehicle using predominantly national components.
The Acedo was a light car designed by Manuel Ortega, featuring a unique single-cylinder engine that produced 2.2 horsepower. Notably, the vehicle was engineered to be highly fuel-efficient, achieving nearly 95 miles per gallon. Despite its innovative design, the Acedo underwent extensive testing under the supervision of the Real Automobile Club, but only a limited number of prototypes were ever produced.
