Dagsa was a Spanish automobile manufacturer that operated briefly from 1954 to 1955. The company, officially known as Defcnca Anti-Gas SA, was based in La Granja, Spain. Initially focused on producing military equipment, particularly anti-gas masks, Dagsa ventured into the automotive sector with the development of a light car.
The Dagsa vehicle was designed to be a simple and economical mode of transportation, comparable to the Citroën 2CV. It featured basic seating for four passengers, a folding fabric roof, and four doors. The car was powered by a 500cc four-cylinder engine, which was produced under a German license. The pricing strategy aimed to make the vehicle accessible, with a cost slightly above that of a motorcycle.
Despite its innovative approach and affordability, Dagsa's production was short-lived, and the company ceased operations shortly after its introduction to the market.
