Identity Cars was a Spanish boutique automobile manufacturer. Founded in the mid-2000s under the company Identity Cars Engineering (later Ideas S.L.), the brand sought to create limited-production sports cars with distinctive design and exclusivity guarantees. Its first model, the Identity i1, was unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show in collaboration with Mazel Engineering. The i1 was a mid-engined coupé featuring a 4.4-meter body, aluminum alloy V8 producing around 487 hp, and a design aimed at combining contemporary styling with supercar performance. The company later developed the Y2, a more advanced project that included carbon composite chassis engineering and updated specifications, though it remained at prototype stage.
Led by chairman José Ramón Fernández Franqueira, Identity positioned itself as a luxury-oriented automotive brand, emphasizing exclusivity and individuality for its clients. Despite presenting concepts, the marque did not achieve series production and ultimately disappeared by the end of 2010s.
