Esperia was an Italian automobile manufacturer that operated in the early 20th century, specifically from 1905 until around 1910. The company was based in Bergamo, Italy, and was known as Sta Automobili Lombarda.
At the 1906 Paris Salon, Esperia showcased two distinct models, both equipped with four-cylinder engines. The first model, a 20 horsepower variant, featured a monobloc engine design, while the second model, a more powerful 40 horsepower version, had its cylinders cast in pairs. The 40 horsepower model offered buyers a choice between chain or shaft drive, whereas the smaller 20 horsepower model was exclusively available with shaft drive.
Esperia, which was sometimes marketed under the name Lombarda or SA.L, continued to be listed in automotive directories such as l'Annuaire Général de l'Automobile as late as 1910. However, it remains uncertain whether the company was still actively producing vehicles at that time.
