Fiber Jet

Fiber-Jet Industries was a manufacturer based in Roseville, California, known for producing a wide range of dune buggy bodies designed to fit the Volkswagen Beetle floorpan, as well as several other kit car offerings.

Among its conventional buggy designs were models such as the Enos 500, Cobra Buggy, Rough Terrain, and Beach Comber. The company also produced more distinctive kits, including the Super T, which resembled a Model T Ford, and the Sand Hopper, a stripped-down off-road buggy.

In addition to buggies, Fiber-Jet Industries created rebody kits for other vehicles. The Premier and Brauossa kits were designed to give the Porsche 914 a look resembling the Ferrari Testarossa. The Fiber Jet 59 was a Porsche 959 replica built to fit on a Porsche 911 or 912 chassis. The company also produced the Chop Top, a fiberglass Volkswagen Beetle body with a lowered, or chopped, roofline that was designed to bolt directly onto a standard VW Beetle chassis.
