Brand Data

Company Name: Everett Motor Carriage Co.

Place: Everett, Massachusetts

Country: United States

The Everett Motor Carriage Company was established in Everett, Massachusetts, in 1898 by Frank Milne and his partner Killam. The company initially focused on the production of stationary steam engines of the Whitney type. In a notable development, they fitted one of these engines to a buggy, which demonstrated sufficient functionality to encourage the formation of the company.

During its brief operational period, the Everett Motor Carriage Company produced a small number of steam-powered vehicles. However, by 1899, the company decided to cease its automotive endeavors, opting instead to concentrate on the manufacturing of engines and boilers. Frank Milne later constructed an additional steam car for personal use in 1901, marking the end of the company's involvement in the automotive industry. The Everett Motor Carriage Company remains a historical footnote in the early development of steam-powered vehicles in the United States.
