Collinet

Collinet was an American automobile brand associated with Collins Motors Inc., a company based first in Huntington, New York, and later in Garden City, New York, active in the early 1920s.

The Collinet appeared to have been conceived as a smaller-scale version of the Collins car, which was itself produced by Albert H. Collins, previously known for building the Wolverine automobile in Kalamazoo. However, under the Collins badge, only a pilot model of the Collinet was ever completed.

The car featured a two-seater speedster body and was essentially identical to the earlier Wolverine, sharing its 132-inch (3,350 mm) wheelbase and four-cylinder Wisconsin engine. It was exhibited at the New York Auto Salon in November 1920, carrying a price of $5,500, with further examples to be built to special order at prices ranging from $5,000 to $6,500.

Despite announced plans for continued production, it is doubtful that any additional Collinet vehicles were ever built beyond the initial pilot model.
