American Fiberbodies International (AFI) was a kit car manufacturer based in Xenia, Ohio, operational from 1994 to 1998. The company specialized in producing a variety of automotive kits that allowed enthusiasts to build replicas of high-performance sports cars. One of their notable models was the AFI 5000S, a replica of the Lamborghini Countach, which utilized the Pontiac Fiero's running gear. In addition to the Fiero chassis, AFI offered a special tubular frame that could accommodate a longitudinally mounted V8 engine paired with either a Porsche or ZF transaxle. They also advertised a variant capable of accepting a BMW V12 engine.

In 1998, the company rebranded as American Fiberglass International and expanded its offerings to include replicas of other iconic vehicles. This new lineup featured models such as the Cobra, Lamborghini Diablo, Ferrari Testarossa, and Ferrari F-50, all available in either kit form or as fully assembled vehicles. The transition marked a significant evolution in the company's product range, catering to a broader audience of automotive enthusiasts.
