Zolfe was a short-lived British sports-car marque based in Redditch, Worcestershire. Conceived in the mid-2000s by Midlands entrepreneur Nicholas (Nic) Strong with engineering led by former Caterham technical director Jez Coates, it developed a compact, retro-influenced coupe first shown as the bike-engined Zolfe Orange (2006) and later re-engineered for production as the Zolfe Classic GTC4 (launched 2009). The GTC4 used a tubular spaceframe with composite bodywork, double wishbone suspension and AP Racing brakes, and typically carried Mazda/Ford Duratec four-cylinder powertrains (2.0–2.3 litres), quoted kerb weight around 700 kg, and a target price in the high-£20k to low-£30k range. Variants ranged from road-oriented to track-day “club racer” specifications; activity focused on niche series production and demonstrations.
