Heritage Replicas

Heritage Cars was a British manufacturer based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, that specialized in producing replicas of notable racing and road cars from the mid-twentieth century. The company built its reputation on recreating designs that were otherwise difficult to obtain, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to own or race cars inspired by celebrated originals.

Among its output was a replica of the Jaguar C-Type, constructed using Jaguar XJ components, along with a similarly based recreation of the Jaguar SS100. In 1989, the company introduced a replica of the Lister-Jaguar Knobbly, further expanding its range of historically inspired sports cars.

From 1991, Heritage Cars produced a version of the Lola T70, regarded as one of its most accomplished projects. This model featured an aluminium centre hull, steel subframes, and fibreglass body panels, and could be fitted with either Chevrolet or Aston Martin V8 engines. It was primarily intended for use in historic motor racing.

The company also produced a limited number of Maserati 450S replicas, which combined aluminium bodywork with a chassis built to the original specification. Through these various projects, Heritage Cars contributed to the preservation and continuation of classic racing car designs for a new generation of drivers and collectors.
