Chad was a British automotive brand that operated from 1996 to 1998, founded by Clydon Hamilton Automotive Design in Maldon, Essex. The company was notable for its development of the Superspon 4, a four-seater coupe designed primarily by Tony Claydon, an ex-racing driver. The Superspon 4 featured a steel chassis and a fiberglass body, drawing aesthetic inspiration from the Nissan 300ZX.

The vehicle was primarily sold in kit form, allowing customers to assemble their own cars. It utilized major components sourced from the Ford Sierra, with an optional four-wheel-drive Cosworth variant available. The Superspon 4 could be equipped with either Ford four-cylinder engines or various V8 engines, providing flexibility in performance options.

Following a split among the founders, the company produced a redesigned version of the Superspon 4, which was later renamed the SS4 and subsequently the Ccriry R. Despite its brief existence, Chad contributed to the niche market of kit cars in the UK automotive landscape.
