Blackjack Cars was a British automobile manufacturer based in Helston, Cornwall. The company was founded by Richard Oakes, who was known for his innovative designs in the automotive industry. Among his notable creations were the Nova, Midas, and Deltayn Pegasus. However, the Blackjack Avion marked a significant milestone as it was the first model that Oakes produced himself.

The Blackjack Avion was a three-wheeled cyclecar that utilized a Citroën 2CV engine, which was mounted in a steel tube subframe. The design featured a rear subframe that accepted a single swinging arm, while the front suspension was based on components from Citroën, utilizing coil springs for improved handling. The body of the Avion was constructed from fiberglass and was designed without doors, although optional weather gear was available for added protection against the elements.
