Barnes was a British automobile manufacturer active from 1904 to 1906, founded by George A. Barnes in Lewisham, London. Although he did not formally establish a company, Barnes produced a range of vehicles during his brief period in the automotive industry. His early offerings included tricars equipped with 5 horsepower engines, which were positioned ahead of the front wheels and powered a single rear wheel through a long chain or V-belt system. These tricars were priced at 58 guineas, equivalent to approximately £60.90 at the time.

In 1905, Barnes relocated to Deptford, London, where he continued to be recognized as a motor car maker in trade directories. During this period, he advertised a four-wheeled light car powered by a 12 horsepower four-cylinder engine, available in both two- and four-seater configurations. This model was announced in January 1906; however, it appears that production did not continue beyond that year. Additionally, Barnes manufactured tricars with engine options of 6, 8, or 12 horsepower, showcasing a variety of designs within a short span of time.
