Baker & Dale Ltd was a British automobile manufacturer established in 1913 in Southbourne, Hampshire. The company specialized in the production of cyclecars, a category of lightweight vehicles that gained popularity in the early 20th century. The design of the Baker & Dale cyclecar was attributed to T.A. Hubert, who incorporated innovative features into the vehicle.
The Baker & Dale cyclecar was equipped with a 2-cylinder engine and utilized a long belt drive system. Notably, it featured a semi-circular steering wheel, a design element that was characteristic of other cyclecars created by Hubert. Shortly after the introduction of the Baker & Dale cyclecar, Hubert also designed another vehicle, a tandem 2-seater powered by a single-cylinder Buckingham engine, which was noted for its more conventional steering wheel.
Despite its innovative designs, Baker & Dale Ltd had a brief presence in the automotive market, and the company did not achieve significant commercial success.
