Argyll was a British automotive manufacturer active from 1976 until approximately 1990, known for its innovative approach to sports car design. Founded by Bob Henderson, a pioneer in turbocharger technology, the company was based in Lochgilphead, Argyll, Scotland. The Argyll was notable for its mid-engine layout and 2+2 coupé configuration, which aimed to combine performance with practicality.

The vehicle featured a box-section chassis and utilized Triumph 2500 all-independent suspension, contributing to its handling characteristics. Power options included a turbocharged four-cylinder engine sourced from Saab or a Rover V8 engine, both mounted transversely and mated to a 5-speed ZF gearbox. The Rover variant was claimed to achieve a top speed of 160 mph (257 km/h), while the Saab version was rated at 130 mph (209 km/h). Later models also offered a PRV (Peugeot/Renault/Volvo) V6 engine as an option.

Despite its technical specifications, the Argyll struggled to attract a significant customer base, with many potential buyers unimpressed by its design and the ambitious claims made by the manufacturer. Although production ceased in the early 1990s, the Argyll remained theoretically available for some time thereafter.
