Fissore was an Italian coachbuilder established in 1936, located in Savigliano, Cuneo. The company specialized in creating custom bodies for various automotive manufacturers, but it also ventured into producing a regular production model known as the Scout.
The Scout, initially launched as the Gipsy in 1971, was a leisure vehicle that utilized the mechanical components of the Fiat 127. Designed by Franco Maina, the vehicle gained popularity for its simplicity and versatility. During its production run, Fissore achieved a notable output of up to 180 units per month.
In addition to its domestic production, the Scout was licensed for manufacturing in other countries. In Spain, it was produced by Emelba under the name Samba, while in Greece, it was known as the Amico. The production of the Scout continued until 1982, marking a significant period in Fissore's history as a manufacturer of leisure vehicles.
