Gutbrod Motorenbau GmbH was a German automobile manufacturer based in Plochingen and Calw, active from 1949 until 1954. The company was founded by Wilhelm Gutbrod, who initially made a name for himself in the motorcycle industry before venturing into the production of four-wheeled vehicles.

The first significant model produced under the Gutbrod name was the Superior 600, introduced by Wilhelm's son, Walter Gutbrod, shortly after World War II. The Superior 600 was notable for its advanced engineering, featuring a small 593cc two-cylinder two-stroke engine, which was later upgraded to a 663cc variant. This model was particularly distinguished by its use of fuel injection, marking a pioneering moment as it was the first instance of this technology being applied to a two-stroke engine.

The Superior 600 was designed as a two-seater coupé, referred to as a cabrio-limousine, and it included a roll-back roof. In addition to this model, the company produced a limited number of estate cars and sports roadsters. Although a four-seater saloon was developed, it did not progress beyond the prototype stage. Overall, production of the Superior 600 concluded in April 1954, with a total of 7,726 units manufactured.

After the original company ceased operations, a new entity under the Gutbrod name emerged between 1975 and 1990, focusing on the production of small four-wheel-drive vehicles intended for agricultural and municipal use, based in Bubingen near Saarbrücken.
