The Gonswa RP1 was a one-off German sports coupé created by Roland Gonswa of Roland Automobile in Schwerin. Completed in 2005, the car combined bespoke retro styling with BMW Z3 mechanicals. It was fitted with a 2.5-litre BMW straight-six producing 193 hp, coupled to a manual gearbox, and clothed in a unique body that evoked the flowing lines of 1940s coupés. The RP1 featured Schmidt TH-line alloy wheels, 18 inches in diameter with wide Continental tires, a stainless steel exhaust, and a custom interior with modern electronics, including three cameras and three monitors to improve visibility. The vehicle was built as a "pure one-off".
