Fend Kraftfahrzeug GmbH was a German automobile manufacturer based in Rosenheim, active from 1948 to 1953. Founded by Fritz Fend, the company initially focused on producing three-wheeled vehicles designed for individuals with disabilities. The first models were manually propelled, but they later incorporated small engines, including a 38cc Victoria and a 98cc Sachs engine.
The early designs utilized bicycle wheels, which were subsequently replaced with smaller wheels to enhance the car-like appearance of the vehicles. In addition to the initial offerings, a 100cc Ridel engine became available for some models. All of Fend's early vehicles were single-seaters until 1953, when the company introduced a tandem two-seater model powered by a 174cc Sachs engine.
The design and concept of Fend's vehicles were later adopted by Messerschmitt, which produced them in significantly larger quantities starting in 1953. Despite its brief existence, Fend Kraftfahrzeug GmbH contributed to the development of microcars in post-war Germany.
