Allgemeiner Automobil-Gesellschaft Berlin GmbH (AAG) was a German automotive manufacturer based in Berlin. The company is notable for its innovative engineering, particularly the introduction of the Kapselmotor, a design developed by Professor Klingenberg from the Berlin Technical University. This unique engine configuration integrated the engine, gearbox, and differential into a single unit fixed to the rear axle, utilizing a single-cylinder engine with a power output of 5 PS.
AAG's production was limited, and the design of the Kapselmotor was eventually acquired by the AEG electrical concern, which subsequently produced it under the name NAG (Nationale Automobil-Gesellschaft). In addition to the Kapselmotor, AAG also manufactured two-seater electric cars and petrol-engined tricycles, contributing to the early diversification of automotive technology in Germany.
