The Société Industrielle de Livry was a French automobile manufacturer active from 1949 to 1951, based in Livry-Gargan, a suburb of Paris. The company made its debut at the 1949 Paris Salon, where it introduced the Adas, a two-seater minicar. Initially powered by a 125cc AMC engine, the production models were later equipped with a 175cc engine that produced 8.5 brake horsepower, allowing the vehicle to reach a top speed of 43 mph (69 km/h).
The Adas was also known by the name "Coccinelle," which translates to "Ladybird." This name, however, created some confusion as it was also used for another minicar from the same period, the SOFRAVEL. In addition to the Adas, the Société Industrielle de Livry produced other minicars, including the KOVER and LE PIAF, contributing to the small car segment in post-war France.
