Dagonet

Ateliers Jean Dagonet, commonly known as Dagonet, was a French automotive manufacturer active from 1952 to 1958. The company specialized in the production of modified versions of the Citroën 2CV, a popular economy car in France. Dagonet's modifications included significantly lowered bodywork, which distinguished their vehicles from the standard 2CV models.

Throughout its brief existence, Dagonet introduced various design changes to its vehicles, notably incorporating an oval grille and a single-piece front end. These modifications evolved year by year, reflecting the company's commitment to innovation and customization. In addition to its modifications for road use, Dagonet also participated in motorsport, showcasing the performance potential of its modified 2CVs.

In 1956, Dagonet unveiled a prototype of a plastic-bodied coupe named DF, which was again based on the 2CV platform and featured a panoramic windscreen. However, despite the introduction of this new model, production did not commence. Ultimately, Jean Dagonet transferred his business operations to U.M.A.P, marking the end of the Dagonet brand.
