Avolette was a French automobile manufacturer that operated from 1955 to 1959, based in Paris. The company specialized in producing small, open three-wheeled vehicles, which were influenced by designs from the German manufacturer Brutsch. Avolette's vehicles were powered by various single-cylinder engines, including those from Ydral, Sachs, and Maico, with displacements ranging from 125cc to 250cc. The final drive system utilized a chain connected to the rear wheel.
In 1957, Avolette incorporated Lambretta engines, available in 125cc and 150cc configurations, into their models. The company also had a partnership with an associated firm, Société France Jet, which in 1958 introduced a four-wheeled vehicle known as the V2N. This model featured a 175cc Ydral engine and was marketed under the FranceJet name. Like Avolette's three-wheelers, the V2N initially lacked doors, but an improved version released in 1959 included doors and was equipped with a 280cc AMC engine. This later model was exported to the United States.
