Felber was an Austrian automobile manufacturer based in Vienna, established by A. Felber & Co. The company initially focused on producing motorcycle sidecars starting in 1923. In the aftermath of World War II, Felber transitioned to microcar production, capitalizing on the demand for economical vehicles during the austere postwar years.
The first prototype of the Felber Autoroller was developed by Ernst Marold in 1950, with production commencing in 1952. The Autoroller featured a rear-mounted Rotax air-cooled 2-stroke twin engine with a displacement of 398cc, generating 15 horsepower. This microcar was designed to accommodate two passengers and included a distinctive weather protection system characterized by a rear-hingeing canopy.
Throughout its brief production run, which lasted until 1954, approximately 400 units of the Felber Autoroller were manufactured. The company ceased operations shortly thereafter, marking the end of its contribution to the microcar segment in the automotive industry.
