Please meet the Sin R1 – a joint project of a brand-new German company Sin Cars GmbH from Munchen and British supplier ProFormance Metals Ltd. The car which debuted this weekend at Autosport International in Birmingham is set to be a promising supercar following standard formula of light weight and mighty power source.

The newcomer will be built around a round tube space frame chassis with carbon composite passenger safety cell. It will be equipped with a 6.2-liter Chevrolet LS3 engine. Coupled with a manual 6 - speed Porsche GT2 gear box this ensures that projected max power of 525hp will make lots of enjoyment for the driver.

The builders state that the R1 will be capable of doing 0 to 60mph in 2.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of a supercar benchmark – 200 mph. The total weight of 960 kg makes this fact pretty sensible. Moreover, these figures result in a striking power-to-weight ratio of fantastic 1.8kg/hp! That is, no doubt, impressive.

Naturally, as it is a very early debut for this venture, there is no specific information regarding production numbers or prices for the model available. However, the Sin Cars company will make next appear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed where the further developed R1 will be able to demonstrate its potential in full. We’ll keep you posted.
