SPM / Lakeside

Lakeside Carriage Co. was a British automotive manufacturer based in Redditch, Worcestershire. The company gained recognition for its innovative use of the Pontiac Fiero chassis to create fiberglass kit cars during the 1990s. One of its notable models was the Belaro, which featured a body design reminiscent of the Ferrari Testarossa, adapted for the British market. The Belaro kit was priced at £2000 in 1996.

In addition to the Belaro, Lakeside Carriage Co. produced the S.P.M. 286, a model that emulated the Ferrari 308 GTB, also utilizing the Fiero chassis. This model was acquired from a company based in Gloucestershire, further expanding Lakeside's offerings in the kit car segment.
