Macintosh

The Macintosh was a British kit car project that first appeared in 1990, developed by Automotive Design Technology, based in Saffron Walden, Essex. It was a mid-engined sports car built on Mini-derived mechanicals, using a steel tube space-frame chassis as its structural basis.

Following the death of its original designer, the project was acquired in 1991 by new owners who revised the design. The car was reengineered with a steel monocoque chassis and a partly stressed body, and it was reintroduced under the name A.D.T. Sprint.

Despite this redevelopment, the vehicle does not appear to have progressed beyond prototype or limited-build stage, and no evidence suggests that it ever reached full production. As a result, the Macintosh and its successor, the A.D.T. Sprint, remained a minor and largely forgotten chapter in the history of British kit car manufacturing.
