FBS Engineering Ltd was founded in May 1998 in Brackley, Northamptonshire, England, by engineers Andrew Barber and Robin Hall, who had previously worked at Lotus, Ricardo, Prodrive and Rover, where they had both been involved in engineering the Mini, Barber on the powertrain and Hall on the front suspension.
