Tachó traced back to 1932, when Antoni Tachó Pedrós, a Catalan mechanic, founded a car and motorcycle repair workshop, Garaje Tachó, S.A., in Manresa, near Barcelona. His brother Guillem, who had trained at workshops in Mataró and at Hispano Suiza in Barcelona, joined him, and by night the two developed their own carburettors, spare parts and gas-generator units, sold under the Tachó and Titán names.
