Dagsa was a Spanish manufacturer based in La Granja, operating under the parent company Defensa Anti-Gas SA, a firm specialized in military equipment such as anti-gas masks.
The company ventured into automobile production with a simple light car conceived as an equivalent to the Citroën 2CV. It featured basic seating for four passengers, a folding fabric roof, and four doors, powered by a 500cc four-cylinder engine built under German licence and mounted at the front.
This vehicle was announced in 1955 and was offered at a price only slightly higher than that of a motorcycle, reflecting its position as an economical means of transport.
