Veritas (revival) was a German low-volume supercar project undertaken by Vermot AG in Grafschaft-Gelsdorf, Rhineland-Palatinate. Announced in 2001 as a resurrection of the postwar Veritas marque, the company developed the RS III, a barchetta-style two-seater that referenced the original BMW-powered Veritas racers. After a driving prototype appeared in 2008, Vermot publicized limited production from 2009–2010 with BMW engines (initially a V12 concept, later V10 and V8 options) and performance claims exceeding 200 mph. The RS III won a public award at London’s Salon Privé in 2009 and was promoted for bespoke manufacture rather than mass production.

In 2011 Vermot announced a hybrid RS III with an auxiliary electric motor and floated plans for an all-electric derivative, but no verified series production followed. Public records and contemporary reporting indicated that various start-of-production targets slipped, activity tapered after the early 2010s, and Vermot AG later entered insolvency proceedings; the company was dissolved in 2018. The effort remained notable for attempting to revive a historic German marque with a BMW-powered, carbon/Kevlar-bodied speedster but ultimately did not progress beyond prototypes and small-scale demonstration vehicles.
