Bama was a French automobile manufacturer that operated briefly between 1921 and 1922. Founded by Charles Barrelier in Asnières, Seine, the company specialized in producing lightweight cyclecars.
The Bama cyclecar was characterized by its unique design, resembling a bath chair, and was powered by a rear-mounted 285cc flat-twin engine. Despite its small size, the vehicle featured a final drive system that utilized a shaft to a differential-equipped rear axle, which was somewhat unusual for cars in its class. The Bama cyclecar achieved a top speed of 22 mph (35 km/h), making it a modest yet functional option for its time.
The production of Bama vehicles was short-lived, and the brand ceased operations shortly after its inception, leaving behind a brief but notable mark in the early automotive landscape of France.
