Brand Data

Company Name: De Forende Automobilfabrikker

Country: Denmark

Bunger was a Danish automotive brand that operated briefly from 1947 to 1949. Founded by engineer Borge Bunger in Odense, the company aimed to produce an affordable vehicle often referred to as a "people's car." The design featured a unique three-wheeled configuration, which was developed in collaboration with a local coachbuilding company.

The Bunger vehicle was characterized by its conventional front end and a sloping coupe rear that housed a single rear wheel. It was powered by a front-mounted 600cc Ilo two-cylinder engine, which produced 19 brake horsepower and allowed for a claimed top speed of 56 mph (90 km/h). The interior was designed to accommodate three passengers, although the space was noted to be rather cramped. Despite the innovative design, Bunger did not proceed with a production run, and the brand ultimately ceased operations shortly after its inception.
