The Saigak was a car built by Anatoly Koshelkov, a lathe operator from Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, and shown in 1975. It was assembled from available materials and was elegant, reliable and easy to drive. The engine came from the Zaporozhets, and the wheels and front axle came from a motorcycle-based carriage, with only the suspensions home-made. Koshelkov drove it several thousand kilometres without a single forced stop or breakdown.
