To the flattering approbation created by the CLB model among engineers and specialised press at the last year's Automobile Show, GHIA is answering to it with the new CLAN on FORD mechanical components, incorporating qualities of speed and comfort together with all operating conveniences.

We were led to choose this chassis for the creation of suh an interesting prototype by the marvellous results and performances attained lately by the new FALCON V-8 sprint.

The above chassis - equipped with a V-8 - 4261 cc - 260 horse power engine - permitting a max. speed of 190 km/h - increases noticeably the original possibilities of use and guarantees and efficient operation and fullfillment of the sportsman's requirement.

GHIA's duty in this circumstance was to enchance such full performances with their traditional creative hability in bestowing to the CLAN a perfect equilibrium of lines, harmony and luxurious elegance.

In its luminous, unobjectionably finished interior, five passengers can leisurely take place on seats equipped with safety belts and, by reclining the rear seat backs a large flat compartment is obtained, permitting to carry a lot of additional luggage and miscallenous sport equipment. By opening its tailgate nearly even with the roof, it offers an extra loading plan on top.
