1980 Ford Aerovan - AllCarIndex

The features of the aerodynamically-styled concept vehicle, the Aerovan, are checked out by Constable Steve Kemley of the Toronto Police mounted unit during the Aerovan's one-day appearance at the Canadian National Exhibition. The seven-passenger station wagon/van, designed by the Ghia studios in Italy, was a surprise attraction at the exhibition's Automotive Day observance. Al Weber of the Design Center staff in Dearborn was on hand to field the questions from the hundreds of fair-goers who stopped by. Most frequently asked - "When is it going to be for sale?" The highly-efficient Aerovan is designed for an Escort platform and power train.
