The Mitsubishi Mirage Kammtop, known in Japanese as the Mirage Kamutoppu, was a show-only derivative of the production Mitsubishi Mirage, also sold as the Colt. It was displayed at the 26th Tokyo Motor Show as one of several factory-customized versions of the model. Finished in yellow and black, it was built as a two-door, four-seat cabriolet.
The Kammtop was based on the standard car but substantially altered in body and roof design. It combined a T-roof treatment with the removal of the rear section of the roof, resulting effectively in a cabriolet fitted with a wide roll bar. This bar was made partly transparent, both along its sides and across its top. Behind the rear seats sat a cover concealing an electric folding top. At the front, a pronounced lower spoiler accompanied headlights hidden beneath a continuous cover spanning the nose.
Mechanically, the car retained the drivetrain of the Mitsubishi Mirage 1600 GT, using a turbocharged 1598 cc four-cylinder engine producing 120 hp at 5500 rpm and 172 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm. It had a wheelbase of 2380 mm, front and rear tracks of 1390 mm and 1340 mm, and overall dimensions of approximately 4000 mm in length, 1700 mm in width, and 1350 mm in height. As a show display, it was never put into production.
