C.P. Kimball & Co. was a Chicago, Illinois-based company, originally established as a manufacturer of pianos, that began producing electric automobiles to special order, possibly as early as 1900. Standard production models did not appear until 1910.

The company also operated a coachbuilding department that specialized in converting rear-entrance tonneaus to side-entrance configurations.

Between 1910 and 1912, Kimball's electric cars were offered in two wheelbase lengths: a runabout and coupé built on a 72-inch (1827mm) wheelbase, and a four-seater landaulet on a 100-inch (2539mm) wheelbase. For 1912, the company introduced a model called the George IV Phaeton, built on an 82-inch (2081mm) wheelbase.

In May 1912, C.P. Kimball & Co. announced that its automobiles would once again be built to special order only, a practice that may have continued for a few more years.
