Izzer

The Izzer was an automobile built by the Model Gas Engine Co. of Peru, Indiana. Its unusual name originated from a customer, Dr. H.H. Bissell of Watseka, Illinois, who ordered the first car and requested that it be a modern, up-to-date vehicle, an "is-er" rather than a "was-er."

The car was built to order by E.A. Myers of the Model Gas Engine Co. It used a Model four-cylinder engine and incorporated some components sourced from Great Western, another automobile also built in Peru. The body was designed as a compact three-seater roadster.

After completing Dr. Bissell's car, Myers built two additional examples, one for his own use and another for his office manager. The original car built for Dr. Bissell was reported to still exist.
