Grinnell Electric Automobile Company was an American automobile manufacturer based in Detroit, Michigan, that operated from 1912 to 1915. The company emerged as a successor to the Phipps-Grinnell brand, which produced vehicles in 1911 and 1912.

Grinnell specialized in electric vehicles, offering a range of models that included closed coupés and broughams. The pricing for these vehicles ranged from $2,800 to $3,400, reflecting the premium nature of electric cars during that era.

Despite the initial promise of electric vehicles, by the end of 1915, the Grinnell family determined that the automotive business was less profitable compared to their established chain of music stores. Consequently, they decided to cease production, marking the end of the Grinnell brand in the automotive industry.
